"Lead, Don't Follow" 62nd Commencement Address Arizona Christian University, 3 May 2024
(Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, 2024-05-03) Barna, George
Dr. George Barna's address as the commencement speaker at the 62nd annual commencement program at Arizona Christian University. In his address, Dr. Barna asserts that ACU is a spiritual bootcamp from which graduates are about to leave after having been trained as spiritual warriors. He discusses the realities of spiritual warfare, and the importance of a biblical worldview as the means by which ACU students will combat the enemy. Students are taught to see the world through the Bible and to strive towards a life lived like Christ Jesus and for Christ Jesus. Barna argues that students must transform and impact the culture around them with a biblical worldview and should not take their worldview from the society around them. He then notes that often those around them, including their friends, can negatively influence their worldview. He charges students to combat the lies a worldview comprised of syncretism propagates with biblical truths that are unerring and to lead those around them, not to follow.

Worldview & Mental Health Chapel 1/18/2024
(Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, 2024-01-18) Barna, George
In his chapel talk from January 18, 2024, Dr. Barna encouraged students to consider how mental illness and worldview are often linked. He began his talk with the assertion that people are called to minister to their peers. He then presented statistics on the widespread mental illness in Generation Z. Dr. Barna then presented the statistics on Gen Z's worldviews, which are primarily rooted in syncretism as opposed to biblical foundations. Dr. Barna explained how the syncretic worldviews lead to or feed into mental illness and juxtaposed that with the impact of a biblical worldview on mental illness and overall life success. He then exhorted students to hone and develop their biblical worldview as a way to minister to other people in Gen Z.
